1. Clean hoof. Remove all hoof dressing, mud, water,
dust, etc. Sand the hoof and SpareShoe tabs lightly for texture. Clean is very important.
2. Lay SpareShoe on
a firm surface and place Equines hoof in the center. Check to see all tabs fit the hoof and are below the hair line, trim
SpareShoe if necessary. No tab should touch the hair.
3. Add three or four drops of adhesive to a tab, press to hoof
and hold firmly for 5 seconds. It is recommended you wear eye protection and gloves or use the packaging
to press on tabs. Repeat process on opposite tab, pulling taught. The adhesive will adhere to your skin instantly.
NOTE: For added protection or to extend the life of
SpareShoe, a filler can be used, between SpareShoe and the sole (GE Silicone Sealant works well).
Removal: Pull tabs from hoof, A hoof pick can be used to loosen the tabs, if necessary.
Note:
If a tab becomes loose, simply repeat steps #1 & #3.
SpareShoe does protect the hoof, however, sharp objects like thorns
and nails can penetrate the shoe.
